Concrete Canvas: The Game of Authentic New York Street Art
Created by David Abelson - Intersection Games
Concrete Canvas is an easy-to-learn family-weight strategy game for 1–4 players, blending tactical movement with the thrill of building your own street-art legacy.
Each player leads a small street‑art crew navigating the city, riding subway lines, tagging walls, and completing paintings to build their artistic portfolio.
Your goal isn’t just to paint — it’s also to make your mark by tagging in each of the New York boroughs until you are the most well known artist there.
The city changes as players place their tag and earn more street cred, and the paths get tighter until one player finds themselves painted into a corner!

A Bit of News, Progress, The Pledge Manager will be Closing, a Message for Retail Backers too.

It's been a little less than 3 months since we ended the campaign and I am excited to share a little bit of progress with you. In this update I will share:
Some news about the timeline
An update about the proofing process
The Pledge Manager is closing soon
There is a new updated item for Retailer Backers!
First the Bad News
I want to start with the hard news first. In an earlier update, I shared that our original delivery date was looking unlikely, and that’s now confirmed. The timeline I set during the campaign was ambitious — optimistic, even — and the addition of plastic models in the deluxe edition adds a manufacturing window that can stretch past 90 days. Hitting every sampling and approval milestone perfectly would require threading a needle, and that’s not realistic.
As much as I prefer to under‑promise and over‑deliver, this won’t be one of those times. I’ll share exact details once manufacturing is complete, but based on the current schedule, we won’t be able to get product on the ocean before November.
One backer suggested creating a gift image for anyone planning to give the game as a holiday present, so there’s still something meaningful “under the tree.” I think that’s a wonderful idea, and I’ll make sure it happens. Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and the genuinely helpful suggestions — they make a real difference.
Artwork Approvals
I’m glad to share that we’re already deep into the production process with the factory in China. We’ve begun the back‑and‑forth needed to tighten up the art files and prepare everything for press. This stage always takes a bit of time, and once the digital approvals are complete, the factory will send physical proofs and “white box” component samples for us to review and sign off on.
On the manufacturing side, things are moving. The mold work is underway, and the dies for the coins have already been struck. The 8" Robot model is being produced at a separate facility, and I’ve already approved the physical sample — it looks fantastic.
Closing the Pledge Manager
At the end of this month, I’ll be closing the pledge manager so we can finalize manufacturing quantities for the factory. On August 2nd, I’ll initiate charges for any add‑on items selected in BackerKit. If you haven’t completed your survey yet, please take a moment to check your email — and your junk folder — for a message from BackerKit. We still have about 60 surveys outstanding, and completing them ensures your order is accurate and included in the production count.
Shipping will not be charged at that time. Once I have confirmed weights and dimensions for the finished game — and in an effort to keep your shipping costs as low as possible — I’ll post final shipping rates and charge cards closer to the actual fulfillment window.
A Note for Retailer Backers
We’ve added FlipDraw: Mondrian, our second game, to the pledge manager as an optional add‑on. Retailer backers now have the ability to choose case quantities. Until now, the only option available was a case of 12 units. We’ve decided to shift to an inner case of 6, and that change is now reflected in BackerKit.
If you previously selected a case of 12, your quantity has automatically been adjusted to 6. If you still want 12, please update your survey — or just let me know and I’ll make the change for you. And if 12 felt like too big a commitment, I completely understand. That’s exactly why we made the adjustment. A 6‑unit case is now available.
More updates soon as everything continues to move forward.

The Missing Update for Legend and Icon Backers
23 days ago
– Mon, Jun 29, 2026 at 05:04:25 AM
Good morning, Legend and Icon Level Backers! This will be brief, but valuable.
I realized this morning — thanks to an email from one of you — that I never explained why the survey has been asking you to choose a character add‑on.
In the Kickstarter campaign, the Deluxe Edition included unpainted minis, and you were also getting a full set of factory‑painted minis on top of that. Because the Deluxe Edition is a limited, numbered print run, I want the game to feel truly premium. With that in mind, I decided to include the factory‑painted minis inside the Deluxe Game itself.
But I didn’t want you to lose value from that decision, since it technically removed an extra component from your pledge tier. I had two ways to make sure you still got something meaningful — and I chose both:
Many of you asked for the wooden character meeples from the Standard Edition to be available in the pledge manager.
I also wanted you to have the option to keep the unpainted minis, in case you enjoy painting them yourself.
That’s why the survey asked you to choose.
TL;DR: The Deluxe Edition now includes 10 factory‑painted minis, and you also get your choice of either 10 unpainted minis or 10 wooden character meeples.
